The 64th Annual Grammy Awards was last night in Los Angeles, per usual, Ye was nominated in multiple categories. He started the night with 22 Grammys in his career, and was able to add to his massive collection.

Ye was nominated for 5 awards, including Album Of The Year for “DONDA”, “DONDA 2” was not eligible due to releasing on Stemplayer. He also was nominated again for Album Of The Year for Lil Nas X’s “Montero”, which he helped produce the song “Industry Baby”. “DONDA” was once again nominated for Best Rap Album. The song “Jail” featuring Jay-Z was nominated for Best Rap song. And his last nomination for 2022 was Best Melodic Rap Performance for the song “Hurricane” featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby.

While being nominated for 5 Grammy’s, he was able to win 2 out of the 5. These include Best Rap Song for “Jail” and best Melodic Rap Performance for “Hurricane”. This ties him with Jay-Z for most Grammy’s ever won by a Rap artist at 24.

Unfortunately he was not able to win Album of the year, or Best Rap Album which lost to “We Are” by Jon Batiste for Album Of The Year. While Tyler, The Creator won Best Rap Album for “Call Me If You Get Lost”. Of course, a lot of people won’t agree with those winning over “DONDA” but, still not too bad of a night to win 2 Grammy’s after being told you are not allowed to perform just weeks before. No one showed up to accept either of the 2 Grammys.
