The first time we seen a version of this new boot was back in the Summer of 2020 when Ye joined Chicago Public Schools students protests. Over the years this boot has seemed like a myth with very few images of samples available. Now we finally get a look at a retail ready pair, but is it too late?

The Yeezy 500 Tactical Bt brings in a mix of two of Yeezy’s most popular silhouettes. They incorporate design cues from the YZY SZN 4 Combat boots, while adding another twist using the Yeezy 500 adiprene+ sole.

Premiere sneaker store Request Boutique CLT brings us our first look the retail ready Yeezy 500 Tactical Bt. The upper consists of premium suede overlays at the toe box and heel. A ballistic style nylon paired with nubuck fill out the rest of the military style upper. The high top design features a slightly padded tongue and collar. The ankle collar this time around is much smaller on the tactical boot compared to previous boot models from Yeezy.

Other details include a tonal upper and rope laces in a charcoal finish. Metal ring and speed lace eyelets coming in silver add to the combat boot motif. The newest design cue we haven’t seen on a Yeezy Boot before, although likely have wondered what if. The Tactical Boot comes with the addition of the Yeezy 500 adiprene+ sole. This sole has long been one of the most comfortable from the brand, guaranteeing comfort and support from the new Hybrid Boot.

Per our sources, the factories contracted to make Yeezy footwear have never stopped making shoes since the split in October. There is still no set date on if/when shoes will be released by adidas. Whether that’s in another limited partnership with Ye, or adidas releasing them on their own as neither have went public yet.
