With the issues going on between Ye and adidas it’s hard to tell if things will ever go back to normal. For the longest time, the slides being on an every couple month release schedule has ran like clockwork. Unfortunately we’ve recently had to back to back Yeezy drops get delayed. At this point only time will show us what’s next, as they try mend their partnership and continue to move forward. Even with all these issues, we have another new YZY Slide colorway to reveal.
Another launch to expect this year, hopefully with with no delays, we have the upcoming YZY Slide Granite. This slide features the same minimalist language we have seen from past releases. Lightweight and durable, injected EVA foam makes up the composition of the one piece slide. An exaggerated outsole with deep V shaped grooves finishes off the slip-on giving optimal traction and cushioning.
People are will say these are the same as the as the Onyx Slide, but I actually like this colorway even more. Maybe it’s because before the YZY Slide was a thing. You would mostly see people wearing black slides for years. So wearing a slide that’s not jet black, plus having colorway options in general just seems better with the YZY Slide. The Onyx colorway quickly took over the Pure as the most popular slide colorway, but when these finally do release, they will be at the top of many people’s list of favorites.
With the way things are going between Ye and adidas, I hate to even say the month these are suppose to drop. If things don’t keep getting delayed expect to see YZY Slide Granite launch around this holiday season in full family sizing. Don’t hold me to that, as you all know the climate with Yeezy drops right now. Retail will be the usual $70, $50, and $40.
